Michelin Suspending Operations in Starr

Michelin North America will suspend operations at its earthmover plant in Starr, S.C., at the end of 2015. The tiremaker chose to shutter plant operations due to market conditions, Michelin said. Roughly 100 employees will be affected by the closure. All of the employees were offered positions at Michelin’s other nearby factories, the tiremaker said.
