Fire at Hankook Plant

A fire broke out at Hankook Tire Co.’s Daejeon, South Korea, plant this past Tuesday, according to reports from Yonhap News. The fire is not expected to affect the tiremaker’s production as most of the damage occurred to its warehouse. Roughly a fifth of the plant’s warehouse and 180,000 tires were lost to the blaze.
