An array of drivers will take to the highways this holiday season; And if you’re traveling out of state, you may not know the driving decorum of others.
So, which state has the best, safest drivers? In which states should you, well, be more on guard?
QuoteWizard, an online insurance comparison marketplace, compared various data points – including car-related deaths and districted driving accidents per state– and would which states have the best and worst drivers.
The best come from Rhode Island, which had low statistics on record for accidents, speeding, citations and fatalities. After the Ocean State, Florida, Mississippi, Michigan and Arkansas filled out the top five.
According to the study, the worst drivers came from California, one of the most populous states in the U.S., with an increased number of citations and DUIs. In fact, Sacramento was QuoteWizard’s worst driving city in America in a study conducted this year.
Other states where drivers are sub-par based on the data include Minnesota, Utah, South Carolina and Washington.
