Larry Sills, executive chairman of Standard Motor Products (SMP), has been inducted into the Federated Auto Parts Vendor Hall of Fame.
“A number of words come to mind when I think of Larry Sills: ethical, trustworthy, friendly, highly intelligent and well-rounded,” said Bo Fisher, chairman of Federated Auto Parts. “Federated is very proud to be associated with Larry. He makes everyone feel special and he ‘walks the walk’ by treating people fairly. SMP has been a valued supplier over the years and Larry has been a strong supporter of the Federated membership. It is with great pleasure that we induct him into the Federated Vendor Hall of Fame.”
The Federated Vendor Hall of Fame recognizes one individual each year who demonstrates dedication to excellence, helping make a difference for Federated and its members, Federated Auto Parts said.
Sills has been executive chairman of SMP since March 2016, and was chairman and CEO from 2000 to 2016 and president and COO from 1986 to 2000. He has also been involved in several industry organizations and currently serves on the University of the Aftermarket Foundation board of trustees.
Sills was recently honored with the “Jack Creamer Leader of the Year” award by the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA).
