Shrader Tire Acquires Lubricant Business

Toledo, Ohio- based Shrader Tire & Oil Co. has purchased the lubricant business from Keneco Distributors of Findlay, Ohio.

Keneco is a 35-year family business owned by Mary Beilharz-Miller and her late husband, Brad. Shrader Tire & Oil has assumed all lubricant operations of the 18,750-square-foot facility, as well as inventory, vehicles and equipment. Key Keneco personnel in management, sales, and operations will join Shrader, providing business continuity.

“We’re looking forward to building a successful partnership with our new customers, and anticipate forging lasting and meaningful relationships,” said Joe Shrader of president and CEO of Shrader Tire & Oil. “Our new customer base will benefit from the addition of our quality Chevron Lubricants, extreme customer service, buying power, 68 years of lubricant knowledge, and solution provider approach that will ultimately help lower their operating costs.”

Since 1948, Shrader Tire & Oil has been family owned and operated, servicing customers in the transportation, construction, and manufacturing industries. Shrader operated 13 commercial tire and fleet service centers and four bulk oil plants throughout Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.
