Police are investigating an “ambush shooting” that occurred at a tire shop in Detroit’s west side on Oct. 4 that has left one man critically injured.
The ambush occurred around 4 p.m. at 6 Mile Tire Auto Glass, according to WDIV-TV.
Local sources said the shooting appeared to be targeted. According to WDIV-TV, a man and woman were parked out front of the tire shop waiting for service when a masked gunman approached and opened fire.
The targeted victim was shot multiple times and the woman, who appeared uninjured, quickly drove away, according to reports.
After looking at surveillance video from the event, detectives described the suspect as a male, wearing all black clothing and a ski mask, weighing about 200 pounds and between the age of 18 to 25 years old. The suspected gunman may have fled in an older model Ford Taurus, possibly gray in color.
