Tire Discounters will remodel several locations, interior and exterior, with its recently launched “Store of the Future” design. The remodeled locations will feature updated showrooms and waiting rooms, energy saving features and a focus on customer comfort.
Two locations have already been remodeled- Cincinnati-Eastgate, and Troy, Ohio. The stores will serve as a template to update existing stores to the new design over the next couple years, the company said.
“We’ve had incredible feedback from our customers about our new store design,” said Jamie Ward, Tire Discounters executive vice president. “Tire Discounters plans to make the updates throughout our footprint so we can provide all of our customers this revolutionary store experience, while continuing to deliver the superior customer service they expect.”
The “Store of the Future” design features video feeds to the waiting room, so customers can watch their cars; a live clock display that details projected competition time of the service; complimentary Wi-Fi and refreshments; and a children’s play area.
The remodeled stores will also feature eco-friendly building features, the company added. Remodels will include updates to energy-efficient glass, LED lighting, a light-reflecting roof and recycled rubber used in landscaping. Digital in-store communication also will cut down on the use of paper, according to Tire Discounter.
