On July 29, the Senate voted to amend the House of Representatives short-term $10.9 billion extension of funding for the Highway Trust Fund. The Senate’s approved amendment moves the House’s funding patch deadline to Dec. 19 and changes some funding, according to The Hill.
The House initially approved its short-term patch on July 15. The House has until the end of the week to send the bill back to the Senate or approve its amendment. Both the Senate and House are scheduled to leave for their August recess on Friday.
