#SEMA/GTE: Nexen Throws Down with Million Dollar Dealer Drawing

Nexen Tire USA has put the market on notice. It’s here, and it plans to grow.

At a press conference held at its booth (#43095) at this week’s SEMA Show/Global Tire Expo, Nexen officials outlined two significant programs that will launch next year, a move they feel will be huge game-changers.

Most notable is a $4 million giveaway tied directly to sales into dealers, and part of Nexen’s all-new associate dealer program.

Under Nexen’s Next Level program, eligible retail dealer purchases exceeding 400 tires per year – an average of 100 per quarter – will receive $5 per high performance tire purchased, and $3 per P-metric, light truck/SUV and winter tire purchased. Volume bonuses – ranging from $1 to $5 per tire – kicks in for every unit purchased over the requirement.

Plus, for each tire a retail dealer buys under the program, the retail dealer receives a chance to win $1 million in each of four quarterly drawings. A dealer buying 100 tires – that basic minimum – gets 100 chances. Secondary awards include four pickup trucks and a series of lesser cash card rewards.

Nexen marketing chief Kyle Roberts said the company has the products, the quality and the technology, now it needs to “bring our brand up to the next level.” The associate dealer program and reward drawings are one element; Nexen also plans to make major consumer promotion pushes in digital, social and online media.
