Michelin’s BFGoodrich brand is introducing the all-new All-Terrain T/A KO2 tire at this week’s SEMA Show/Global Tire Expo.
The tire, available in 12 initial sizes, incorporates technology developed and tested through BFGoodrich’s off-road motorsports teams that have earned 80 off-road wins at races in the Baja peninsula, according to the company.
Also at the show, as part of its long-standing partnership with SCORE International, BFGoodrich is sponsoring the SEMA Show SCORE Baja 1000 Experience, which includes a 70,000-square foot desert racing exhibit outside the Las Vegas Convention Center’s South Hall. Qualifying for the 2014 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 will take place Nov. 4 at the specially designed course in preparation for the race, which will run down Mexico’s Baja peninsula from Ensenada to La Paz beginning Nov. 13.
Also on display will be Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 Trophy Truck and unlimited Class 1 race vehicles, exhibits from off-road and desert racing companies, the SCORE transporter, a huge stage, a live feed of SCORE Dirt LiveHD, autograph sessions and an interactive SCORE Baja pit crew competition area. Autograph sessions will include BFGoodrich Performance Team members: Ryan Arciero, Casey Currie, Rob MacCachren, Bryce Menzies and Justin Bean Smith.
At the booth, BFGoodrich will display a SCORE Baja 1000 Class 10 race buggy outfitted with KO2 tires, the company said, adding the display will consist of a social media photo booth that will allow visitors to capture themselves in the essence of Baja with images to be shared on their personal social channels.
