Schrader International has expanded its Springfield, Tenn., facility with a new $15 million capacity investment. The company announced the news while celebrating another accomplishment – the company has produced 300 million TPMS sensors.
According to Schrader, for those global vehicle platforms equipped with direct TPMS technology, more than half utilize Schrader sensors. The company said that it is nearly doubling its manufacturing capacity and capabilities both in the U.S. and internationally to keep pace with the global demand for TPMS integration.
The $15 million investment for equipment and facility expansion will increase the Springfield location’s production capacity by more than 50%, and create an additional 100 new high-tech manufacturing jobs in the local area, said the company.
Schrader will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 18, with several federal and state governmental officials in attendance, including U.S. Representative Diane Black.
