The Schaeffler Group is expanding its American plant in Fort Mill, S. C. to improve infrastructure and the working environment.
The expansion will increase the plant’s production space by around 34, 982 square feet which will allow higher production capacities in the areas of stamping, heat treatment, and mounting of axial bearings, the company said.
With this expansion, Schaeffler is creating 105 new jobs in South Carolina, and investing $36.5 million.
Schaeffler has been present in South Carolina for almost 50 years.
