Ray Named to AMI Board

(Akron/Tire Review) Automotive Management Institute (AMI) announced that Ron Ray, executive director of the I-CAR Education Foundation, will serve AMI’s Board of Trustees.

An ASE-certified master automotive technician since 1976, Ray participates on advisory boards for several career and technical schools and colleges and is a member of the Automotive Industry Planning Council (AIPC), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

The seven members of AMI’s Board of Trustees represent both mechanical and collision repair shops of varying sizes and industry representatives. The board works on behalf of AMI to provide and promote business management education tailored to automotive service industry.

Cosmo Tires to include 40,000-70,000 mileage warranty on all PLT tires

Cosmo will continue its portfolio expansion later this year when it launches its new Gripit X/T, Rockit R/T, and Cosmo Kurrent.

Cosmo Tires, distributed by Tire Group International, has introduced changes to its mileage warranty and road-hazard programs which will now feature a mileage warranty of 40,000-70,000 miles for all passenger and light truck tires offered.

“Our products are over-built and tested on the most rigorous tracks and terrains around the globe and this reflects our investments in manufacturing and quality. Now, all passenger and light truck tires carry Cosmo’s road hazard and mileage warranty ranging from 40,000-70,000 miles," said Dominick Montouri, chief strategy officer of Tire Group International, said.
