PTNA Makes Changes in Sales, Marketing Teams

(Akron/Tire Review) The marketing group within Pirelli Tire North America has undergone some significant changes.

Most notable was vice president of communications and motorsport Peter Tyson’s move back to management positions in Europe and the formation of an internal public relations team.

Tyson will continue in communications and motorsport at Pirelli’s headquarters in Milan. He had been commuting between Milan and PTNA’s Rome, Ga., headquarters for the last few years.

In addition to Tyson, also returning to posts in Europe are marketing director Pierlugi Dinelli and supply chain and pricing manager Giovanni Ricci.

Jason Fort was promoted to director of marketing and will report to sales vice president Riccardo Cichi. Fort will be responsible for all trade marketing activities. Mirella Cielo has transferred from Milan to PTNA and will take over supply chain and pricing duties.

Dan O’Shaughnessy was named to the newly created position of regional sales director and will also report to Cichi. All of PTNA’s regional sales managers will report to O’Shaughnessy.

Rafael Navarro was promoted to director of communications and motorsport, and will report to PTNA President Guy Mannino. Navarro will be responsible for all advertising, public relations and motorsport activity. Sara Roberts was named communications and PR coordinator, reporting to Navarro. As a result, PTNA will bring its public relations efforts in house.
