Private Equity Group Acquires Wheel Pros

Audax Group has purchased Denver, Colo.,-based Wheel Pros from Platinum Equity.

“Wheel Pros is a market leader in the automotive aftermarket industry. We look forward to partnering with Randy White, Jody Groce and the Wheel Pros team to grow the business organically and through strategic add-on acquisitions,” said Geoffrey Rehnert, co-CEO of Audax Group.

Founded in 1995, Wheel Pros designs, markets and distributes aftermarket wheels and also distributes performance tires and accessories. The company has 25 distribution centers in the U.S.

Audax Group has more than $6 billion in assets under the management in its private equity, mezzanine and senior debt businesses.

VIP Tires Donates $3K to Lowell Public Schools

Through an “Oil Changes for Education” initiative at its new Lowell location, VIP Tires was able to donate $3,030 to Lowell Public Schools.

VIP Tires & Service announced a $3,030 donation to Lowell Public Schools in Massachusetts, after an “Oil Changes for Education” initiative. Eric Avery, VIP’s service manager at its Lowell location, handed a check to Lowell Public Schools Superintendent Liam Skinner at a school committee meeting last week. The funds can and will be used by the Lowell school community with no strings attached, VIP said.
