Pneus Online Launches Fourth Generation Web Site

Tyres & Accessories – European online passenger car and motorcycle tyre provider Pneus Online has launched the fourth version of its Web site – www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk – with an eye to future expansion into North America.

The company has sold tyres on the internet since 2001 and have used this experience to develop a new optimised platform so that each customer is able to order the desired tyre in a few clicks.

Among the new functionalities, a new design, intuitive ergonomics, advice to guide the customer in making the right choice for its tyres and a complete technical overhaul of the system to gain time, scalability and improved performance.

“The computer system was entirely reassessed with the implementation of new functionalities through the use of latest technological innovations. This Web 2.0 platform allows us to have an edge on competition,” adds Michaël Tonso, IT manager at Pneus Online.

Pneus Online says that it will attempt to continue its external growth by opening up to other European countries, and North America in 2010. It is available in ten European countries (U.K., France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg and Italy), and has 600,000 visitors every month. It experienced a turnover of £11.4 million in 2008 and has 13,428 participating fitting centres in Europe.
