The keynote speaker was the Honorary Consul Angela Della Costanza Turner.
The discussion was focused on the expansion of Italian business and industry in Georgia, recognizing that Italian companies are becoming an important part of the economic support for Georgia, and opening up cultural and language exchanges between Italy and Georgia.
Two important new non-profit organizations have been set up: The Italy Atlanta Foundation whose objective is to promote the heritage, history and culture of Italy in the Southeast United States, and the Italy Atlanta Alliance whose focus is to promote the growth of Italian business in Georgia.
Feb. 20 has been declared “Italy Day” at the Georgia State Capitol where the Italian ambassador Giovanni Castellaneta and the honorary consul of Italy Angela Della Costanza Turner, will receive resolutions from both the Georgia House of Representatives and Senate Chambers.
