Pirelli Exclusive Tyre Supplier to Volvo Video Game - Tire Review Magazine

Pirelli Exclusive Tyre Supplier to Volvo Video Game

Computer bound employees around the world have been blessed with the opportunity for a spot of workplace skiving courtesy of a new video game called “Volvo – The Game.”

This timely coffee break tip has been passed on by Pirelli, who is present in the game as exclusive “tyre provider.”

The racing game has been developed by the Swedish company SimBin, a firm noted for its racing related titles. During the course of the action, users are offered the chance to drive a range Volvo cars, from the oldest to the new concept S60 unveiled at the previous Detroit Auto Show. Those wishing to engage in the aforementioned Volvo race excitement are, however, advised to percolate an extra large carafe of coffee and ensure the boss is busy in a meeting – the 570 megabyte game file may take a while to download. The software can be found at www.volvocars.com/game.

Pirelli is also present as the first prize in a game related competition; those who put up the best lap time between June 10-24 on the Chayka circuit will win a set of Pirelli tyres (up to 18 inches).  (Tyres & Accessories/Staffordshire, U.K.)
