Pierce Selects SmarTire to Supply TPMS

(Clacton, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) SmarTire Systems Inc. has announced that Pierce Manufacturing Inc. will include the SmarTire’s active TPMS as an option for new and existing fire-fighting vehicles.

Pierce Manufacturing is North America’s leading manufacturer of fire and safety apparatus.

Dave Warkentin, vice president of sales and marketing of SmarTire, said: “The SmarTire system is a natural fit for Pierce. Pierce vehicles are the industry standard for performance, quality and reliability. We are excited to work with the company to offer tire pressure monitoring to the fire fighting community.”

Intellias, a software engineering partner and mobility solutions provider, recently revealed results from two projects aimed at improving road safety at the 2024 Navigation Data Standard (NDS) Association conference in Frankfurt, Germany.
