Petlas Tire Industry has signed an exclusive sales agreement for the U.S. market with Oriente Tire USA, based in Miami, Florida. The distribution deal is part of Petlas’ plan for global expansion, which focuses on the development of its PCR/LTR and SUV tire lines. Petlas is widely known in the U.S. market for its range of Agricultural (Radial) and OTR tires. Petlas tires are manufactured in Turkey and are not subject to A/D or C/V duties, which makes them very competitive, the company says.

Oriente Tire USA is a new independent unit created by Gus Lima and Marco Zigni, principals in Oriente Triangle Latin America Inc., which has a long relationship with Petlas Tire in Latin America.

Petlas produces PCR, SUV and LTR tire in sizes ranging from 12- to 20-inches. The line includes Run-Flat tires developed with Petlas’ own know-how. All Petlas tires are DOT marked, covered by product liability and offer DDP affordable prices.

Production is located at the company’s Kırşehir, Turkey plant, which produces 11 million car tires, 1.5 million agricultural tires, 850,000 TBR tires and 400,000 OTR tires. The company has invested nearly $775 million since 2005 to increase capacity.
