Omni United has appointed Olli Seppälä as its global head of R&D. The company says Olli brings with him vast expertise in passenger, light truck and heavy-duty tires. Among other things, Omni United says he will be instrumental in driving product research, design, development as well as testing.
Prior to joining Omni, Olli spent close to 20 years with Nokian Tyres, where he started his career as a junior engineer and went on to become the global head of R&D.
He’s been with SRNA since Feb. 2013, focusing his time on motorcycle OE throughout the entirety of his tenure.
Sumitomo Rubber North America, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, has promoted Rick Zimmerman to director of original equipment for both four-wheel and two-wheel businesses. Zimmerman holds a bachelor of science in business administration, finance from the University of Akron.
