O.K. Tire Stores Names New President

(Akron/Tire Review) The Board of Directors of O.K. Tire Stores Inc. has appointed Greg Sims president and CEO, as of Mar. 1.

Sims previously worked for Michelin North America Inc. (MNA) in a variety of sales, marketing and corporate management roles. He headed MNA’s commercial operations in Mexico for four years. Most recently, Sims ran his own consulting company, which specialized in strategic planning and facilitation.

“He brings to O.K. Tire Stores Inc. a strong strategic approach, a solid understanding of the various regional realities of the Canadian market and a clear appreciation of the needs of independent Canadian tire dealers,” O.K. Tire Stores stated in a release announcing the appointment.

Nelson Gray, who had been serving as president and general manager, will reassume his previous role as senior vice president.

O.K. Tire Stores operates 260 retail locations and nine regional warehouses throughout Canada.
