Nokian Shuffles Organization Structure

Nokian Tyres is rearranging its operational structure and the responsibilities of its management team in order to strengthen the company’s product and innovation leadership, end-to-end supply operations and sales and distribution management.

“Our success will also in the future be based on the world’s best products, world class production and distribution and excellent customer orientation. The new operational model is a right step on our path back to profitable growth,” said Ari Lehtoranta, president and CEO of Nokian Tyres.

Under the new management structure the operations of the passenger car tires will be disintegrated and reorganized, Nokian said. The new structure will have product management, R&D and sales functions reporting directly to the company’s CEO. Additional procurement, demand and supply management will work with logistics and customer service functions as part of the all new Supply Operations unit.

Under the new structure several changes in management have been made. Esa Eronen has been nominated to serve as vice president of the new Supply Operation. He was formerly vice president of production and production technology.

Pontus Stenberg has been named vice president of sales. Previously her served as vice president of Nokian Heavy Tyres.

Manu Salmi has been nominated as vice president of Nokian Heavy Tyres. He was formerly vice president of procurement.

Rami Helminen, former head of passenger car tire operations, has decided to leave the company, Nokian said.
