Nokian Making Truck Tire Push With Vianor Stores

Nokian Tyres’ Vianor retail network is already active in 19 countries, with a total of 623 outlets in operation.

In several Scandinavian markets the company has now extended the Vianor concept to heavy vehicle tires. Vianor, together with the Nokian Heavy Tyres division, has developed Vianor Industrial, through which companies and contractors operating heavy vehicles are offered a “professional solution utilizing the latest innovations and operating models in the field of tire manufacturing.”

The Finnish tiremaker states it intends to add further Vianor Industrial outlets and expand the concept globally.

“The strength of the new concept lies in Vianor’s improved ability to be close to the customer while understanding and anticipating their different tire needs, as well as to develop solutions for both product and service related problems. Cooperation with Nokian Heavy Tyres enables the continuous chain of information and development to flow between the products’ manufacturer, retailer and end user,” said Juha Lehtinen, Vianor’s marketing manager for heavy vehicle tires.

This concept, as Nokian explains, meets the increasing need amongst heavy vehicle segment customers for more technical services. At present more than 20 Vianor Industrial stores have been set up in Finland, Sweden and Norway, and Nokian states that the expertise of the specially trained staff in these outlets is also available to customers at other Vianor stores.
