New Toyo Open Country A/T II Promises Greater Treadlife

Toyo Tire USA Corp. launched a new all-terrain tire for truck and SUV owners – the Toyo Open Country A/T II.

The tiremaker said the tire "offers over 40% more treadlife than the leading competitors, exceptional all-season performance, an aggressive new tread design, and a quiet ride."

The Open Country A/T II comes with a 65,000-mile warranty for P-metric and Euro-metric sizes, and a 50,000-mile warranty for LT-metric and flotation sizes. The tire also qualifies for Toyo’s No Regrets 45-day, 500-mile trial offer.

“Our goal was to create the toughest, longest lasting all-terrain tire on the market,” said Fardad Niknam, Toyo’s senior director of product planning and technical services. “When independent third-party test results showed the Open Country A/T II delivering over 40% longer treadlife than leading competitors, we knew we had a special all-terrain tire.“

Toyo said that “nearly 100 different size combinations are available,” ranging from 15- to 20-inch wheel diameters, including deep tread “extreme sizes” for enthusiasts.
