New Tire Management Software System - Tire Review Magazine

New Tire Management Software System

Designed to help trucking fleets better manage their tire assets, Revolution TMS from Squarerigger Software takes electronic readings of both tread depth and tire pressure using a “Kwik-Check” tire probe and sends them wirelessly to “The Inspector,” the company’s wireless handheld PC.

The inspector also has a built-in barcode scanner for easy tire identification. This information is transmitted wirelessly directly to the customer’s database. The back-end software system uses a simple drag-and-drop interface to track tire costs (from purchase to disposal), tire locations on vehicles, tire movement, cost per mile, even cost per 32nd. A reports system generates detailed reports in seconds, the company added.

NRS Brakes has designed galvanized brake pads for the Tesla Model 3 specifically for electric/hybrid vehicle technology.

The company says (ADAS) vehicles demand a higher quality of all parts, especially safety items such as brakes.

As moisture creeps through the porous nature of the friction material, it is compromising the untreated backing plat, NRS Brakes says. Usually, moisture in the friction material is dissipated as heat is created through normal braking routines.
