Nebraska’s largest independent tire dealer, Jensen Tire & Auto Inc., is constructing a new corporate headquarters building, with a groundbreaking planned for April 11 at 2 p.m. The event was originally planned for March 30, but was rescheduled due to inclement weather.

The new 8,200-square-foot office is being built on 4.5 acres in Papillion, Neb., in the commercial complex, Hilltop. The building will include 19 executive offices, two meeting rooms, an associate staff training room, and a large reception area – plus a 14,000-square-foot warehouse will be built onsite that is equipped to hold 25,000 tires.

“We are investing more than 4 million dollars to create a state-of-the-art corporate work setting to provide expert training to our team of dedicated tire and automotive service specialists, and to strengthen our team’s service excellence skills to best provide for our current and valued customers, as well as new customers we plan to attract as we expand regionally,” said Matthew D. Jensen, Jensen Tire president.

Jensen Tire opened its first store in 1973 and has since grown to 21 locations. The company employs more than 200 associates at Nebraska locations in Omaha, Papillion, Bellevue, LaVista, Lincoln, and Fremont, as well as Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Jensen Tire’s new HQ is scheduled to be completed in November 2017 and is located at 13572 Lynam Drive.
