Your insight and objectivity on this issue are certainly welcomed by me and, I’m sure, many other tire dealers.

I, too, was upset by the ABC 20/20 piece and its obvious (to us) sensationalistic approach. But after giving it much thought and discussion with my store managers I began to see that we would all be better off by taking some positive action to deal with public concerns. We will be putting some new policies in place at Frisby Tire that will address this issue.

Bartec USA to Host TIA ATS Class

TIA’s Automotive Tire Service class is hitting the road – holding a session at Bartec USA from April 25-28.

Bartec USA announced that Tire Industry Association’s (TIA) Automotive Tire Service (ATS) class is being held at its North American headquarters in Sterling Heights, Michigan, from April 25-28.

TIA is visiting six cities in 2023 with its ATS class. Those who successfully pass the four-day class will be certified as Advanced ATS Instructors, allowing them to certify ATS instructors and technicians in the field. Certified Automotive Tire Service (ATS) is designed for the professional passenger and light truck tire technician with subjects ranging from the relationship between torque and clamping force to the TPMS relearn procedures on domestic and import vehicles.
