Mobile Awareness Releases TireStat CV TPMS

Transportation safety product marketer and developer Mobile Awareness has launched its latest TPMS product for commercial, off-road and utility vehicles.

Called TireStat, the new TPMS features sensors that are mounted externally on the valve stem, allowing air input without sensor removal. This approach, says MobileAwareness, virtually eliminates the limitations that previously prevented theuse of TPMS on fleet vehicles, including costly tyre maintenance, timeconsuming installations, lost cap mounted sensors and difficulty in roadsideservice.

TireStat ispre-programmed by wheel position for simplified installation, yet can be easilyaltered by the user. This design permits customers to optionally program theirown warning alert levels by axle position, offering improved management of fueland tyre expense. Mobile Awareness believes this feature provides for fleetowners a faster ROI, simplicity of driver participation and low on-goingmaintenance since, as are no issues due to lost sensors.

“Mobile Awarenessrecognises the need for a driver-friendly TPMS solution which is affordable forall types of vehicle safety environments,” said Brandon Stotsenburg, directorof sales and marketing at Mobile Awareness. “Our latest TireStat systemprovides a compromise-free tyre maintenance solution for individuals, businesses and commercial fleets.”

TireStat not onlydetects under-inflated, over-inflated and rapidly leaking tyres, it alsomonitors tyre temperature. In addition, the TireStat rechargeable handheldmonitor functions as a portable tyre gauge. As a result, the user can monitoractual tyre pressure while adjusting each tyre’s inflation level. All TireStatsystems include an easily mounted transceiver, which assures continuous transmissionof the wireless signals without the inconvenience of installing multipleantennas.

To ensure thatthe TPMS units stay where they ought, TireStat features an integratedanti-theft locking mechanism for the nylon encased sensors. The sensors aredesigned for harsh environments and operate in all weather conditions within apressure range of 15 PSI to 150 PSI.

“A TPMS system isonly effective if it is easy for the driver to use,” concluded Stotsenburg.“TireStat provides the best overall solution for individuals and fleets whowant to affordably experience the safety and cost reduction benefits that theyhave come to expect from Mobile Awareness.” (Tyres &Accessories/Staffordshire, U.K.)
