Mitas expanded its CR-01 tire line-up with the addition of two new crane tire sizes.
The Mitas 385/95R25 CR-01 170F TL and 525/80R25 CR-01 176F TL are designed for speeds of up to 80 km/h (approx. 50 mph) and 90 km/h (approx. 55 mph), respectively.
“New sizes of CR-01 crane tires are now ready for shipment to our customers,” said Andrew Mabin, marketing and sales director of Mitas. “Mitas CR-01 is a durable and reliable tyre. It handles the weight of the crane and the load.”
The size 525/80R25 CR-01 has a deep tread pattern and can be retreaded, according to the company. In comparison with a standard mobile crane tire, there is 6% lower rolling resistance, “thanks to an all-steel construction,” the company said.
The crane tire also meets requirements for winter conditions and can operate in mud.
According to the tire company, all Mitas CR-01 tires feature Mitas-Link, a connection between tread blocks that increases tire life while limiting tread movement, even at speeds of up to 55 mph.
With the addition of these two new sizes, Mitas produces three sizes of CR-01 crane tires.
