Mitas Adds New Rigid Dump Truck Tire

Mitas is expanding its earthmover portfolio with a new tire for rigid dump trucks – the ERD-45 in size 18.00R33.

“Mitas is significantly extending its product range in the segment of earthmover tires and ERD-45 is one of the highlights,” said Andrew Mabin, Mitas’ sales and marketing director. “During 2016 we will introduce four new tread patterns and eight new tire sizes dedicated to the earthmover segment. These product launches are made possible thanks to the massive investment we did in our production plants in last years.”

The new tire joins the Mitas earthmover tires portfolio, which also includes the ERD-20, ERD-30 and ERD-40. The ERD-45’s tread pattern is designed for traction on hard surface conditions and the sidewall features protection to make it highly resistant to cuts, the Mitas said.

The tire officially launches in May 2016, but will be available in North America in August. Mitas will offer three additional sizes of the ERD-45 – 21.00R33, 21.00R35 and 24.00R35 – in 2017 and 2018.
