Two weeks after a tire store in the Inner Mission neighborhood of San Francisco burned down, someone stole some of its remaining inventory, local media reports.
Rolling Stock tire shop owners said their insurance adjuster noticed a hole in the building and soon discovered tools, two sets of wheels and even toilet paper were stolen.
Only about 20-30 tires and 250 wheels were salvaged after the fire from an inventory of about 2,000 tires and 4,000 wheels. Eight of those wheels were stolen.
The business hired a security guard to watch their remaining inventory and planned to take what they could the following day.
Seventeen employees have lost their jobs due to the fire and the business owners set up a GoFundMe to pay for holiday bonuses, reaching their goal of $16,000.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
