Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels will display several new products at its booth (# 43021) at the 2010 SEMA Show. Included in the new lineup are: Baja Claw TTC Radial; Baja STZ Radial; Classic Lock Black Wheels; Classic II Black Wheels; plus new sizes of the Pro-5 Drag Wheel and ET Street Radial II;.
The Baja Claw TTC Radial is a rugged off-road performance tire with advanced radial construction. For exceptional traction, the Baja Claw has a “mud scoop” tread along with directional 23 tread pattern, an extra wide footprint, and decoupling grooves in the tread and sidewall that allow the tire to flex and conform to any surface, according to Mickey Thompson. The tire offers durability, long wear and improved traction, according to the company.
The new Baja STZ Radial is designed for the daily driver that also uses off-road or utility applications. It has an aggressive tread design, variable density nylon over wraps, serrated tie bars, shoulder scallops, and strategic siping for improved stability, long wear, and traction, according to the company. LT metric sizes are available with increased load ratings.
The company said its new Classic Lock Black and Classic II Black wheels are tough, easy care wheels with a satin black finish and a protective clear coat. The high load-rating Classic Lock Black wheel is available in 10 sizes with maximum load ratings of up to 3,100 pounds. The Classic II Black Wheel is available in 14 sizes with maximum load ratings up to 3,100 pounds.
Six new sizes of Mickey Thompson’s Pro-5 Drag Wheel range from 15×8 to 15×15, and a new 16×16 size is also available. The new wheels come in 5 on 4.5 and 5 on 4.75 bolt patterns in various back spaces for popular drag racing fitments. Each wheel is drilled for 5/8-inch shank style race studs. All Pro-5 Drag Wheels are one-piece, fully CNC machined, rotary-forged aluminum and are highly polished, according to the company.
Mickey Thompson added several new 19- and 20-inch sizes to the ET Street Radial II line, scheduled for availability early in 2011. This D.O.T.-approved, street legal drag radial provides responsive and reliable handling, an excellent ride on the street and dependable high-performance on the strip for Mustang, Corvette, Viper, Challenger, and Camaro, the maker said.
