Groupe Michelin saw its revenue increase 12.2% year-over-year for the first quarter of 2010 on the strength of increased truck tire sales in South America and Asia.
Sales for the period reached $5.23 billion, up from $4.63 billion last year. Consumer tire sales were up 13.7% and truck tire sales were up 20.4%, Michelin said.
The tiremaker offered no information about its profitability for the period.
