Michelin Lifestyle Wins Brand Extension Award

The successful introduction of the Michelin range of motoring accessories has been recognised with the Award for Excellence in Brand Extension presented recently by the Marketing Society in association with Marketing magazine.

The Award for Excellence 2008, described by Michelin as the Oscars of the marketing world, recognises the creative skills Michelin Lifestyle Ltd. used “to expand consumers’ awareness and accessibility to the Michelin brand by introducing new products for motorists, in addition to the traditional tyre products.” By developing and establishing the Michelin range of premium quality motoring and leisure accessories, the company’s brand recognition is enhanced.

The Marketing Society Award for Excellence 2008 was presented to Daniela Gould, Head of Marketing and Communications for Michelin Lifestyle Limited and Simon King, Managing Director of Custom Accessories Europe, the automotive licensee for the UK. TV personality Hugh Dennis hosted the ceremony attended by more than 450 marketing professionals.

Michelin Lifestyle motoring accessories are now sold in more than 85 countries worldwide and are available in the UK through 2,275 points of sale. (Tyres & Accessories/Staffordshire, U.K.)
