On display at the show was the all-position Michelin XZE2 regional tire, which was recently unveiled. The 22/32nds tread depth tire promises a 15% gain in overall tread life vs. the XZE, which it replaces.
Introduced at the show were the BFGoodrich ST244 steer tire and BFGoodrich TR144 trailer tire.
The ST244 features a five-rib, four-groove tread design for water evacuation and a decoupling groove for resistance to irregular wear. It is available in sizes 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 275/80R22.5 and 275/80R24.5.
The TR144 has see-through grooves for wet traction and a five-rib design to resist irregular wear on free rolling axles. The TR144 tire is available in sizes 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 275/80R22.5 and 275/80R24.5.
Michelin Retread Technologies introduced the Michelin XDN2 precure retread, an all-weather drive retread optimized for exceptional traction and mileage. The retread is intended for long haul and regional use and is currently available in 220, 230 and 240 mm sizes. (Tire Review/Akron)
