Michelin North America is increasing the warehouse capacity of its BFGoodrich plant in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
“The expansion of the storage facility will help us further improve customer service, especially geographically in key BFGoodrich tire markets,” said Greg Leikvold, plant manager at the Tuscaloosa site.
The expansion will increase the warehouse from 29,000 to 92,000 square feet and cost approximately $8 million. Construction will begin next month and is expected to be completed by early 2017.
Michelin’s Tuscaloosa plant is one of two BFGoodrich facilities fully dedicated to the production of BFGoodrich tires in the U.S.
