Michelin has released new sizes of its Premier season tire.

Michelin North America has released 14 new sizes of its Michelin Premier A/S. The tire is now available for more than 85 percent of the passenger vehicle segment in 54 total sizes ranging from 15 to 19 inches.

The tire features EverGrip technology, which includes an evolving tread design and high-traction rubber compound to deliver wet grip and long-lasting performance as the tread wears down. It features a combination of hidden grooves in the shoulder that emerge as the tire tread wears which expands rain grooves that widen over time, allowing consistent water evacuation. It also has a unique rubber compound that delivers all-season wet-grip performance.

Even when half-worn, the all-season tire still stops shorter on wet roads than leading competitors’ brand-new tires, according to Michelin tests.  Its EverGrip technology provides drivers with shorter stopping and better handling in wet conditions when new and worn compared to similar competing tires making it “safe when new, safe when worn.”

At the North American International Auto Show, Michelin North America President and CEO Scott Clark announced the company’s initiative to open a dialogue about the importance of worn tire testing for consumers. The company presented research on the financial and environmental impacts of premature removal for worn tires, saying that a tire’s stopping abilities and other performances can change significantly as it wears. Michelin’s goal is to help drivers understand the importance of worn tire performance, and demonstrate that some well-maintained worn tires deliver wet-braking distances that are about the same or better than other new tires.

NRS Brakes has designed galvanized brake pads for the Tesla Model 3 specifically for electric/hybrid vehicle technology.

The company says (ADAS) vehicles demand a higher quality of all parts, especially safety items such as brakes.

As moisture creeps through the porous nature of the friction material, it is compromising the untreated backing plat, NRS Brakes says. Usually, moisture in the friction material is dissipated as heat is created through normal braking routines.
