Michel Rollier To Run Michelin Alone

(Clacton, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) During a Challenge Bibendum press conference in Paris on June 10, Michel Rollier stressed that he is Groupe Michelin’s only managing partner at the moment and there are no current plans to name a second “g

Rollier also explained that provisions have been made for the unexpected eventuality that he wouldn’t be able to continue leading the group. In this case a company called SAGES, obviously owned by the Michelin family and led by Christian Tschann, would lead the group. A German citizen, Tschann has held leading positions at Groupe Michelin for many years.

Meanwhile, sections of the French press have questioned why Rollier continues to stress that he is Michelin’s one and only managing partner. They ask publicly if it a sign that he his a little bit power hungry, or if it due to the fact that giving any other answer to this question would pave the way for immense speculation.
