Men Seek Class Action Against Carlisle

(Akron/Tire Review) News reports say that two Michigan men are seeking class action status for their lawsuit against Carlisle Tire & Wheel Co., alleging that certain recreational vehicle tires made and sold by the firm are defective and pose a safety risk.

The suit was originally filed last January, but the two men went to U.S. District Court in late December 2005 seeking class action status. The move would reportedly include all Carlisle-produced RV tires dating back to 1999.

News reports say that Carlisle said the claims are groundless.
