Two York, Pa., men have been formally charged with arson in connection with a 2008 fire that destroyed a local tire dealership.
The fire caused some $4.5 million in damage to Americana Tire and Wheel Co.
The indictment alleges the pair were involved in a scheme that stole at least $5,000 in inventory, including tires and wheels, from Americana Tire, and later setting fire to the store to cover their tracks.
The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Pennsylvania State Police and the West Manchester Township Police Department investigated the incident.
