McCarthy Tire Service is merging two store operations and relocating them to a larger facility in Levittown, Pennsylvania, at the end of June.
McCarthy Tire is renovating the former Gallagher Tire building at 1901 Hartel Avenue in Levittown, a community 20 miles northeast of Philadelphia. When completed, the company will move the commercial tire operation from its location in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, into the building. Company officials anticipate an opening date of June 26. The industrial tire business at the company’s Philadelphia location will be moved over to Levittown several weeks later.
The new Levittown store will handle the combined services from both stores. This includes tire sales and service for commercial trucks, buses, industrial equipment, off-the-road (OTR) vehicles, and farm tractors and implements; a mounted tire program; industrial tire pressing and foam filling service; and fleet services. The roadside assistance program will cover the city of Philadelphia, southeastern Pennsylvania, and western New Jersey.
The property includes a 40,000-square-foot building, twice the size of the Bensalem location, a large parking lot for tractor trailers, several loading docks, and a generous office suite.
The team members from the Bensalem and Philadelphia locations will be moved to the Levittown facility. Matt McLernan, manager of the Philadelphia store, will take the helm as the location manager of the combined operation. Sherry Beck from the Bensalem store be the assistant manager.
The new address is 1901 Hartel Avenue, Levittown, Pennsylvania.
