Mazda Motor Corp. is recalling nearly 100,000 Mazda 6 cars due to a faulty tire pressure monitoring system.
According to Mazda, the automobile maker is recalling 2014-15 Mazda 6 models because the TPMS may not warn the driver of a drop in pressure if four of the tires on a recalled vehicle gradually drop at the same time.
Mazda notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in September of the possible problem and told the agency it would recall the vehicles on Oct. 17. The carmaker only recently announced the recall publicly.
No injuries or crashes have resulted from this issue.
