Nokian Tyres announced that Mark Earl will be named its vice president of its Americas business area, reporting directly to Hille Korhonen, president and CEO of the Finland-headquartered tiremaker. He leaves his post as president of Hennessy Industries Inc., to lead the Americas business unit for the Finland-based tiremaker, effective May 1, 2018.
The company said Earl will implement Nokian Tyres’ North American growth strategy, lead the construction of the tiremaker’s new factory in Dayton, Tennessee and strengthen the company’s positioning within the U.S. organization. Current Vice President Tommi Heinonen will continue to lead the sales organization and report to Earl.
“We are delighted to get Mark into our team,” Korhonen said. “He is energetic and result-oriented. Mark has a proven track record of growing business in a profitable way in North America. His experience will be a major asset to us, as we are aiming at doubling our sales within 5 years in North America.”
