Magna Tyres Group has introduced the new Magna MA04+ OTR Tire for rigid dump trucks.

The radial constructed tire with an E4 tread pattern is designed for RDT’s running in surface mines. It is the latest addition to the Magna tire range and is available in popular tire sizes 27.00R49, 33.00R51, 37.00R57, 40.00R57, 46/90R57, 50/80R57, 59/80R63 and in various compounds including (A) cut-resistant, (B) heat resistant and (S) standard.

The Magna MA04+ is designed and constructed based on the latest Magna radial tire technology. The casing reduces heat building inside the tire which leads to a prolonged service life, lower fuel consumption, higher efficiency and optimized operator comfort, Magna says. Additionally, the tire offers improved puncture resistance compared to less-durable cross-ply tires, leading to a low-cost price per hour, which makes it ideal for popular RDT’s like Terex, Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi.

At this year's Mint 400, Team Falken drivers Cole and Sky Johnson secured a victory in the 4400 Unlimited Class and Josh Atteberry earned second place in the 4600 Stock Class. Cole and Sky Johnson equipped their 4482 IFS SXOR Motorsports Car with the new 40” Falken Wildpeak M/T tires.

“The Wildpeak M/T tire wear was phenomenal over that rocky terrain even with a ton of wheel spin from running 2WD,” Sky Johnson said. “These are super tough tires, I was not nice to them and didn’t have a flat, and if there’s ever a race to get a bunch of flat tires, the Mint 400 is one of them.”
