The Louisiana Independent Tire Dealers Association (LITDA) has created a new ASE scholarship available for LITDA members.
“We are excited to announce the launch of our new ASE scholarship opportunity that promotes the importance of automotive service in our industry,” said Roger Spears, LITDA president. “Our board of directors and scholarship committee put careful thought into this program so that we can offer additional benefits to our members that promote the high standards and ethics of the tire industry every day.”
The ASE scholarship is “designed to recognize individuals that are furthering their career through certification tests offered through the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence,” the LITDA said.
Scholarship recipients must be employed by an LITDA member company that is in good standing and may be eligible to receive up to two $150 reimbursement scholarships a year.
Applicants can apply for the scholarship before or after successfully completing the ASE course and must submit scholarship entry and complete ASE Test Prep & Training within the same LITDA fiscal year.
Those who apply and are selected before taking the ASE course must send proof of successful completion to LITDA within 30 days of completion to be awarded with the scholarship. Those who apply after successfully completing the course must send proof of completion with the application.
