Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. announced the fourth and final vehicle to be displayed in its booth at this week’s SEMA Show/Global Tire Expo: Le Monstre, a 2012 CTS-V Coupe from renowned Cadillac tuner, The D3 Group. Featuring a matte black wrap by Wraptivo and a custom wide-body, Le Monstre will roll on 275/30ZR20 and 345/25ZR20 Toyo Proxes T1R UHP summer tires.
Le Monstre features a 427 CID engine fed by a 3.6L supercharger system cranking out 1,001-horsepower and 1,000 lb.ft. of torque. The D3 Le Monstre is a tribute to the 1950 Cadillac Coupe Series 61 (that car dubbed Le Monstre by the French media), which competed in the 1950 24 Hours of LeMans, piloted by American driver Briggs Cunningham. The car will compete in Time Attack during the 2012 road racing season.
The D3 Cadillac Tuning Program is the world’s only full line tuning program for Cadillac. D3 cars are known for delivering startling amounts of horsepower with incredible performance, Toyo said. Many of the company’s tuned Cadillac vehicles use Toyo Proxes UHP tires.
“We are excited to debut Le Monstre in our SEMA Show booth,” said Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “The addition of this remarkable D3 Cadillac helps demonstrate the quality, performance capabilities, and diverse range of fitments manufactured into our line of Toyo tires.”
In addition to The D3 Le Monstre, the Toyo Tires booth will debut three other vehicles: the WALD F10 Black Bison, the Street Concepts Ford F-150 Raptor, and the Dodge Durango Heat Edition 4×4. Show attendees can enter to win the Durango by scanning a QR code at the Toyo Tires booth #43097 or going online to www.toyotires.com/sweepstakes.
