Live at SEMA: Chicago Pneumatic Upgrades Cordless Impact Wrench

cpt8096-cp8848-cordless-impact-wrenchChicago Pneumatic announced it has upgraded its CP8848 1/2-in. cordless impact wrench to provide 10% higher power. This impact wrench, which is the flagship product in the company’s cordless range, offers superior power and battery performance for increased productivity, durability, ease of use and mobility, according to Chicago Pneumatic.

“The wrench now delivers up to 850 ft.lbs. torque in reverse, providing the high performance of an air tool, but with the maneuverability of a battery-powered tool, enabling powerful and efficient bolting,” said Yann Pasco, global business development manager of vehicle service at Chicago Pneumatic Tools. “With this upgraded wrench our customers can benefit from a higher power while enjoying mobility, enabling them to get their job done faster and more comfortably.”

The advanced technology of the 20-Volt/4Ah CP20XP (20-Volt/6Ah will be available in February 2017) Lithium-ion batteries provide the operator with more power and a runtime twice that of other conventional products. The shock resistant and durable batteries slide smoothly into the tools’ cradle and are released via a quick release button. They feature triple protection circuitry and individual cell monitoring to prevent overheating and overloading during extended periods of use. The easily visible charge gauge provides accurate battery level information to help minimize downtime, according to Chicago Pneumatic.

Also in the company’s cordless range is the compact CP8828 3/8-in. impact wrench, the lightweight CP8818 1/4-in. impact driver, the strong and versatile CP8548 1/2-in. hammer drill, and the ultra-compact CP8528 3/8-in. drill driver. All CP cordless tool packs come with two batteries and a charger. The cordless tools, batteries and chargers come with a three-year limited warranty.
