The Georgia Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association is collecting monetary donations in an effort to help local communities that have been hit by Hurricane Michael.
The association said over $5,100 has been collected from more than 1,500 individuals. Supplies in addition to funds have also been donated, including two pallets of Gatorade for first responders in Donalsonville, a small town near the Florida panhandle, that was hit especially hard by the storm.
Cleanup continues and donations are still being accepted. The GTDRA’s goal is to provide food and water for “those who continue to work tirelessly to put our Georgia towns back together.”
Cash and check donations can be mailed to Georgia Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association, PO Box 801378 Acworth, GA 30101 with a note “For Hurricane Michael” on the check. Call the GTDRA office at 770-947-2323 to make a credit card donation.
