K&M Tire Acquires MotoStar Tire

K&M Tire is expanding its U.S. footprint, announcing the acquisition of MotoStar Tire and Auto Products, Inc., growing its market coverage into seven new states.

K&M Tire is expanding its U.S. footprint, announcing the acquisition of MotoStar Tire and Auto Products, Inc., growing its market coverage into seven new states. The acquisition brings the total number of warehouse locations to 26 nationwide.

MotoStar has operations in Albany, N.Y.; Merrimack, N.H. and Lisbon Falls, Maine. Gene Bova founded the company in 1993 and grew the business across the northeast.

“We have known K&M for a long time and respect their business model and focus,” said Bova. “Adding K&M’s strengths to MotoStar makes us very excited about the future.

K&M was founded in 1970, and currently has locations across the Great Lakes, Midwest & Great Plains regions of the U.S. serving tire dealers in 20 states. With the MotoStar Tire acquisition, the company can now serve dealers in a total of 27 states.
